On the first night, the story of Miguel and his familia will continue where it left off in the film as they gather in Mariachi Plaza to take your family on a colorful, music-filled journey, including a dinner featuring modern twists on traditional Mexican fare and a lineup of live entertainment. Your family will be invited to join Miguel, his parents, Enrique and Luisa, and Abuelita Elena for a festive gathering that honors the heritage of music and love that runs deep in the Rivera family.
During this seven-night cruise, you will get not one, but two chances to visit this new family dining venue! During your second night at Plaza de Coco, Miguel will reunite with his great-great-grandparents, Hector and Mama Imelda, as he transports them to the town square in Santa Cecilia with the help of his magic guitar. Together, Miguel and his ancestors will celebrate Día de los Muertos – Rivera family style – with a unique lineup of memorable songs from the film.

NOtes From March 2025 Sailing
Recommend watching the movie Coco before attending
Hallway tells a story
It feels like outdoor seating with the way the lights feel like they are on a string/rope (lots of little detail)
Not 100 percent Mexican food more of a Mexican fusion for broader audience
Outdoor at a plaza everyone can hear the music
Recommend black bean soup and enchiladas
Show is a beautiful homage to Mexican culture and not only about the movie they have Latin American music very well done
Spanish speaking adding to the authenticity
Authentic mariachi musicians and dancers
New set up doesn’t really have a bad seat in the house
Special drink is a flight with 3 tequila served on a guitar $50
Mexican citizen or Mexican heritage
Back windows can roll up to bring in light and see Peter Pan and Captain Hook on the back of the ship
Removed the server’s tables/sections therefore better sight lines for the show
Tables are still close together and all lined up to see better
Plaza removed server stations to outside area to improve sight lines
Chips were stale and dishes needed more seasoning
Thinner columns
There is a large tree that can cause sight issues
Music is loud and hard to have conversations
Gluten free are the blue chips and they will not serve regular chips is allergy at the table
Gluten free desserts are outstanding (mouse, apple one)
First night the family is preparing for Dia De Los Muertos, then second times is the actual celebration
Folk dancing is from Guadalajara and performers are all of Mexican or Mexican Americans, a lot of the music is in Spanish, show goes through the entire dinner
Horchata served in souvenir cup
Mariachi band is bass player, guitar player and violinist, went all over the world for additions, rehearsed for 3 months before maiden voyage. Left their current mariachi bands, one from New Mexico, Chicago and Mexico (Guadalajara)
Show is less obtrusive therefore not questioning when to eat
Night 2 is called Day of Celebration and never say Day of Dead
Smaller chairs and furniture and pillars and move serving station to the outside
Show is music and dancing but not to loud
The first night's entertainment picks up where the story in "Coco" left off and reunites us with Miguel and his family. Miguel, the town's mariachi band, and town members sing and dance throughout the meal.
The second night, Miguel reunites with his great-great-grandparents in a celebration of Dia de los Muertos - Day of the Dead.
Because not a huge plot that you need to pay attention to like Frozen it because background music, not over powering, some entertainment during dinner
