Star Wars Day at Sea began in 2016 and usually happens every year from January to mid-April. Typically on the 7 Night Western or Eastern Caribbean sailings. Typically replaces Pirate Night.

Brand new experiences featuring the Dark Side, the Resistance, the droids and more are coming to the Disney Fantasy when Star Wars Day at Sea returns on 15 special sailings this January through April. Check out some of the new out-of-this-galaxy experiences that are setting sail:
The Dark Side
To kick off Star Wars Day at Sea celebrations, in a one-time experience the night before the event, Darth Vader and Stormtroopers will march into the ship’s atrium for an Imperial takeover.
Kylo Ren will appear in “Jedi Training Academy,” where young Jedi-in-training summon their courage and the Force to face off against Darth Vader and Kylo Ren.
The Resistance
Rey will take the stage in the “Summon the Force” nighttime deck show that celebrates great moments from across the Star Wars galaxy including iconic characters and new favorites, complete with an epic fireworks finale accompanied by John Williams’ iconic music.
In “Porgs Onboard! Scavenger Hunt,” Chewbacca needs your help to track the Porgs that have been wreaking havoc throughout the ship. You’ll find and decode secret messages to solve a ship-wide quest and be greeted by everyone’s favorite Wookiee at the end of your adventure.
In the days leading up to the epic celebration, check out all of the Star Wars feature films in the Buena Vista Theatre, culminating in a showing of the newest film, “Star Wars: The Last Jedi.”
Fun for the whole family
New in 2018, you are guaranteed a time to meet and take photographs with C-3PO and R2-D2, Chewbacca and Darth Vader. Before you even step onboard, you have the chance to reserve these character encounters online under the My Disney Cruise section of disneycruise.com.
Guests can step into the saga and pose with a life-size replica of Han Solo frozen in Carbonite, as well as other cool Star Wars-themed backdrops.
In Star Wars Drawing Academy, guests can learn to draw some of their favorite Star Wars characters and a new character from “Star Wars: The Last Jedi.” Is it a Porg? You’ll just have to wait and see!
Star Wars-themed interactive games, trivia and activities for the whole family will be hosted by your Disney cruise staff on the pool deck and in the D Lounge.
These are the droids you’re looking for
C-3PO will make an appearance in Star Wars: Command Post in Disney’s Oceaneer Club. During a special activity, children train to be members of the Resistance and fend off the First Order. C-3PO pays a visit to check on their training and further human-cyborg relations.
Droid Racing is a fast-paced activity that the whole family will enjoy where guests can race BB-Unit droids around a course in the ship’s atrium.
In a hands-on activity for families, everyone tests their skills to become master droid builders and create an intergalactic droid.
All of these cool new experiences are included in a Star Wars Day at Sea cruise, and just some of the ways you can celebrate the legendary adventures and iconic characters from the Star Wars galaxy.

Meet and take photos with your favorite characters, including Darth Vader, R2-D2, C-3PO, and Chewbacca. You might even run into Boba Fett, Stormtroopers, or characters from Star Wars Rebels. For some of the more popular characters, you can schedule a photo session in advance as you book your Port Adventures.
Younger guests will want to participate in Star Wars Resistance Base, a puzzle-solving game inside the Oceaneer Club or meet BB-8 in the Oceaneer Club. They can even take part in an onboard version of Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple.
The cruise staff will keep everyone busy with Star Wars trivia, movie marathons, costume celebrations, drawing lessons and scavenger hunts.
Each cruise, a different guest presenter will share their stories from the Star Wars universe.
The day concludes with the Summon the Force Show, a thrilling deck party featuring Rey and other popular Star Wars characters, that lights up the sky with fireworks set to the classic John Williams soundtrack.
Meet ups include: Chewbacca, R2-D2, C3PO, Darth Vader, Boba Fett, First Order Stormtroopers, Sabine, Ezra, Asoka, Rey, Kylo Ren, BB8, resistance pilot

Special themed events include: Massive Galactic-Deck Spectacular Evening Show, Jedi training for kids, BB8 races, Star Wars films playing all day long
The Star Wars experience actually begins the night before Star Wars day with a galactic empire takeover of the ship the night before from Darth Vader himself.
Introduced on the intercom with the Imperial March theme, Darth Vader with his Stormtroopers announce the cruise is now “under their control”. In the main hall area, they then ask passengers who will join the Empire in finding rebel scum.
Merchandise onboard switches to all things Star Wars in its boutiques, and the food and drinks served in Disney Cruise restaurants take on a galactic twist to them

Force-filled Fun for Everyone
Darth Vader, Chewbacca, Boba Fett, Stormtroopers and other characters from across the Star Wars galaxy will be onboard for scheduled meet and greets, as well as roaming on deck and elsewhere around the ship. You’re also encouraged to dress up in your own stellar costumes!
A shipboard version of the popular Jedi Training experience invites young Jedi hopefuls to learn lightsaber moves from a Jedi Master. They can then use the Force and face off in a final test against the evil Darth Vader.
Kids and families enjoy friendly competition during Star Wars trivia games, covering fun facts from the film and television sagas.
For Younglings, Star Wars-themed arts and crafts, games and activities will be offered throughout the day in Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab youth clubs.
Film Screenings and Insiders
You can watch the first six Star Wars films and follow Darth Vader, Obi Wan Kenobi, Luke and Leia along their epic journey.
Also showing will be episodes of the new Disney XD animated series, Star Wars Rebels.
On each of the special sailings, insiders from the Star Wars galaxy will share their experiences, meet fans and sign autographs.
Star Wars Deck Party and Fireworks
There’s intergalactic fun when the Star Wars deck party blasts off to an exciting evening filled with music, dancing and games.
Star Wars characters converge on the deck stage for a celebration of the Star Wars saga in a show featuring special effects and guest participation.
The deck party culminates in a spectacular display of themed pyrotechnics, lighting, sound effects and Star Wars music.
Force-filled Fun for Everyone
Characters from across the Star Wars galaxy are onboard for interactions, photos and also may be seen patrolling the decks.
Kids and families enjoy friendly competition during Star Wars trivia games, putting their knowledge of the film and television sagas to the test.
Guests are encouraged to bring their costumes and participate in the costume celebration held in the ship’s atrium.
Younglings Use Their Power
In “Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple,” Force-sensitive children learn the ways of the Jedi and use their new-found skills in a final face off with Darth Vader.
Star Wars-themed arts and crafts, games, and activities are offered throughout the day in Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab youth clubs.
Star Wars Deck Party and Fireworks
An exciting evening blasts off with a deck party filled with music, a galactic dance party and appearances of Star Wars characters on the deck stage.
The grand finale is a spectacular display of pyrotechnics, lighting and sound effects set to a medley of Star Wars music.
Merchandise, Food and Beverage
Event merchandise exclusive to Star Wars Day at Sea is available on each sailing, including a range of collectible items, apparel and trading pins.
Specialty Star Wars-themed beverages, including non-alcoholic offerings, as well as snacks, dinner menu items and desserts, please the palates of everyone from Padawans to rebel pilots to Tusken Raiders.
Film Screenings
Guests can watch “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story,” the first in a new series of standalone Star Wars films, to be released on Dec. 16, 2016, as well as all seven films in the Star Wars saga.
